Lessons & Assembly Program

Our young students are smart and curious. They like to try new things and find out how things work. There is so much to learn during these elementary grades and how to be safe is very important.

The Safety Sleuth program presents an interesting and fun way to learn how to be safe.

  • The Safety Sleuth program offers two lessons (multiple activities within each)
  • A culminating student poster project.
  • This project offers an opportunity to have students share what they have learned and teachers can use this as an assessment tool as well.
  • Students will be thrilled to become “CERTIFIED SAFETY SLEUTHS”
  • Student work has an opportunity to be featured at the Long Island Children’s Museum as part of a PSEG Long Island “Safety Sleuth Exhibit.

This program is closed but you can email Dina (Dina@dbarrettassociates.com) to be added to the program for next year.

Safety Sleuth Assembly Program

A team of PSEG Long Island Emergency Response Utility Workers with a state-of-the-art bucket truck and related equipment are ready to visit your school.

  • Visits are 30 minutes per class.
  • Students will receive a valuable educational experience, important safety tips, and fun giveaways.

The more the merrier.
